CSL and TESPA Announce Summer Overwatch Leagues

July will see the start of two summer college Overwatch leagues.

The Collegiate Star League (CSL) will begin its summer season on Saturday, July 8th. The league will consist of two groups playing best of three matches with the top four teams from each group advancing to a single elimination bracket where they can compete for their share of a $4,000 prize pool. There will be two matches a week for five weeks. Playoffs start on August 12th and the team that wins the final on August 26th will walk away with $2,000.

Registration has already closed for the CSL league, but if you still want in on some college Overwatch action you can sign up for the TESPA Summer Series. In fact, your school can register as many teams of six to eight players as they wish at any point during the season running from July 10th to August 20th. Teams will be assigned anywhere from one to three ladder matches a week against teams of similar skill level. The first place team will take away a Reaper statue for each player, with second through sixteenth place awarding various amounts of Blizzard balance. In addition, the best team from each school will contribute to that school’s seeding for Overwatch programs in the fall.

You can find more information about the CSL league here. You can register for the TESPA league here.
