“March Madness” Meets Esports with the AVGL April Anarchy

The AVGL is tapping into collegiate sports culture with April Anarchy.

April Anarchy offer spectators the opportunity to win prizes by submitting prediction brackets, much like “March Madness” for college basketball. Spectators pick which teams they thick will win each match in the final championships and fans can win prizes if they get enough correct picks. The first bracket available is for the Paladins College Championship which will take place on March 26th at 6pm EST on Twitch.tv/AVGL.

 

According to the AVGL website, the dates for the championships are:

  • Paladins
    • March 26th at 6pm EST
    • Grand Final on April 9th
  • SMITE
    • April 1st and 2nd
    • April 8th and 9th
    • Grand Final April 23rd
  • Dota 2
    • April 15th and 16th
  • CS:GO
    • Dates Pending

 

SMITE, Dota 2, and CS:GO brackets have not been posted yet by the writing of this article on March 26th.

Bracket entries are free. All participants must tune in to the live broadcasts on match days as the winners will be announced on stream. Additionally, Fans can tweet out pictures or videos of their brackets with #AprilAnarchy for a bonus entry into the prize drawing.
